The Alder Gang is in the House

New Print Series

I'm happy to announce that my series of songbirds who share an alder tree is finished and up on my website. In this group of prints the birds are the focus, so I kept my marks loose to bring them to life and I depicted the branches and leaves with less detail so that they wouldn't distract from the stars of the show, "The Alder Gang."

We've got "Dee Dee", a Black-capped Chickadee with a lot to say. His buddies know to listen to the number of dee's at the end of his call: the more dee's, the more alert to be.

Next up is "Walenda", a Chestnut-backed Chickadee known for his acrobatic feats.

Last but not least comes the "Mohawk Kid", a Golden-crowned Kinglet sporting an impressive 'do.
