New Website Address and Layout

"Keep it simple" seems to have become my mantra since turning 60 earlier this year: that succinct statement is guiding a lot of my decisions these days, especially when it comes to my art practice and business. I want more time to experiment and create, so I'm stripping away all the little extraneous activities, such as selling cards and stickers or making custom-made mats for my prints, into which I had invested far too much time and energy. Simplifying also applies to my website, which I've just revamped. I hope you like the new, less cluttered layout. I know I do.
In addition, I'm finally embracing my given, real, legal name: Darbra Smith. "Thimbleberry Studios" was always a mouthful, and some folks were understandably confused and thought I only printed on fabric. I'll hold onto that old domain for a year or two, so you'll still get to my site if you accidentally type it in, but officially it's www.darbrasmith.com from now on. (Please note that it's Darbra, not Darby. Someone else already owns darbysmith.com. C'est la vie. Just another reason to claim my actual name.)
Finally, you may notice that commenting is no longer available on my posts here. Don't get me wrong; I love your comments! However, Shopify's clunky commenting protocol wouldn't allow me to directly reply to each comment and it just didn't feel like a conversation. If you'd like that kind of exchange, there's email of course, but I've also started up a Substack, where it's a lot easier to have that kind of online interaction: Darbra Smith on Substack.
Cheers!
