Looking Ahead to 2026
Share
I know it's not even December yet, but I'm already thinking about what I want to focus on in 2026. I've been referring to 2025 as my "big input year" because of how many classes I've taken: three printmaking classes in different techniques, two acrylic painting courses, and one watercolor class. It makes sense (to me) to make 2026 my "big output year." I just want to make, make, make, and then make more. I don't want to hassle with social media at all, keep up this blog, or worry about showing, selling, etc. Basically, I'm ready for a sabbatical year and fortunate enough to be able to do it, so why the hell not? Ya know? Call it my belated 60th birthday present to myself. This whole sabbatical idea is making me so happy that I'm going to start it immediately.
Thank you for being here. I am incredibly grateful for all your support. My shop will remain open in case anyone wants to buy something, and I'll still be reachable through my website contact form and by email (darbrasmith@gmail.com.)
Best wishes to you! I'll be back in 2027 with a lot to share.
